Careem is increasingly becoming the internet platform for the region, but right from the start, we’ve always been focused on what we can do for people. Our mission – as you may have heard – is to simplify and improve lives.
Increasingly though, we are spending more of our time behind digital screens, and it’s easy to become disconnected from family and friends. Ramadan, however, is a time of giving back to the community, being together and spending time with our loved ones and as such, a perfect opportunity to reconnect with what is important. That’s why this Ramadan, Careem is encouraging people to Build Connections.
We are doing this by empowering refugees, education and building connections through acts of togetherness, kindness and giving – and empowering you to give as well.
We launched Careem REWARDS earlier this year and every trip you take will earn you points. Those points can be redeemed and used to perform charitable actions – from feeding a child for a day, to buying textbooks for schools. Throughout Ramadan, Careem will be matching any points donation that you make, doubling the impact of your goodwill.
Throughout Ramadan, Careem has joined forces for the second year running with UAE Food Bank and Dubai Municipality for free deliveries of food donations to UAE residents during the holy month of Ramadan. You can choose to donate a meal to those in need, every day, between 11am and 5pm via the Food Bank car type on your Careem app. A Careem Captain will come to your door and collect donations.
Through improving mobility Careem is constantly promoting connections and making it easier to physically stay in touch with those people who mean the most to you. This Ramadan, let’s Build Connections and embrace what’s important during the holy month.
