Careem and General Motors partner to increase car ownership for Captains

Careem and General Motors Africa and Middle East have signed an agreement to support car ownership for their Captains across the Gulf and Levant.

Careem Captains will get discounted rates on any of GM vehicles including Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac models, starting from Dhs59 per day, including service, maintenance support, and an extended warranty. Careem captains can fully own their car after three years.

The agreement is part of the ongoing work of Careem Fleet Solutions, a division of Careem that has been set up to support Captains become self-employed vehicle owners.

We care about the well-being and happiness of our Captains, and always endeavor to find ways to support them both in, and out, of the workplace. And we are uniquely-positioned to create an integrated technology-driven auto-services platform for Captains to help with services throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.

By helping provide low interest rates and low down-payments for Captains we can enable them to become car owners. But we’re also able to help with better insurance rates for group purchases as well as ease of access for Captains with one-touch purchase and automated electronic payments. And throughout the life of the car, Careem Fleet Solutions aims to provide maintenance, repairs, spare parts offering transparent pricing and quality spare parts.

Careem has already launched global in-ride insurance for passengers and Captains, and this partnership between Careem and General Motors further empowers Captains to own a vehicle and enjoy preferential rates.
