Captains are the driving force behind Careem, and we strive to make sure they are well taken care of and supported in every way possible. We recently partnered with Emirates NBD and Mastercard to enable ten of our hardworking Captains to travel home to Pakistan and reunite with their families.
Emirates NBD has been a trusted Careem partner in the UAE for several years, working closely with us to bring exciting offers to our customers. For this initiative they went the extra mile to demonstrate their support for the true powerhouses of our business; our incredible Captains!
Some of the Captains hadn’t seen their families or visited their hometowns in years as they had opted to send their earnings back home rather than travel there in person.
Emirates NBD covered all travel expenses, including flights and spending money, for over ten Captains in appreciation for their service.
Among these Captains is Captain Shahzad, who has been driving with Careem for nine years. He had been eagerly anticipating reuniting with his family of five for nearly two years. Additionally, Captain Usama, with two years of dedicated service at Careem, was reunited with his family of six. Captain Azmat was over the moon that he was able to make it for his daughter’s birthday party, and Captain Babar returned home just in time for a family member’s wedding.
Mudassir shared his thoughts on this initiative, saying:
Our Captains are the heart and soul of Careem – and many of them use their earnings through Careem to support their families in other countries. We wouldn’t be here without their hard work and dedication, and we’re happy to see others appreciate them as much as we do. We’re grateful for the generosity of our partner, Emirates NBD, in providing our Captains with a trip back home to visit their families in Lahore.
