When you use any Careem service, we always aim to provide you with the best experience and exceed your expectations. We’ve recently made some changes to our cancellations policy in order to offer protection for both Customers and Captains while preventing fraudulent activities on our platform.
Our systems are built in a way that automatically takes action against a high number of cancellations made by an account. When this unusual behaviour is detected, our systems will either temporarily or permanently block the account.
A high number of cancellations can also have a negative impact on the lives of Captains and their families. Everyday, their aim is to get you to your destination as soon as possible!
We’re working hard to offer you the best experience possible and we understand that cancellations can sometimes happen. With that said, please remember:
- We always assign the nearest Captains to your location, which means that the assigned Captain will take the least time to get to you.
- We highly recommend double-checking your pick-up location, drop-off location, promo codes and desired payment method before pressing “Yalla”
Remember, your drop-off location can be updated even if you’ve already booked the ride, so there’s no need to cancel if you need to make changes!
