Eligible RAKBANK World and Elevate Credit Card primary cardholders receive a complimentary Careem Plus free trial membership for a period of 12 months from the date of activation.

This benefit is available across all RAKBANK Elevate credit card tiers: Prime, Plus, and Privilege.

To activate the Careem Plus membership, the cardholder must add a valid World or Elevate Credit Card to their Careem app account and select the RAKBANK offer under the Careem+ Offers section.

Eligibility for this offer is subject to the card being in a valid and active status at the time of use.

To avail Careem Plus benefits (e.g., ride discounts, free delivery), the cardholder must use their RAKBANK Elevate or World Credit Card as the payment method for each transaction within the Careem app. Benefits will also apply to transactions made using either the Careem Wallet, or a combination of the RAKBANK card and the Wallet. The benefits will not apply if cash or Apple Pay is used as the full or partial payment method.

- What is the Careem Plus benefit on the Elevate and World Credit Card?
Elevate and World Credit Card primary cardholders receive a complimentary Careem Plus annual membership for 12 months. Careem Plus gives you savings on rides, free delivery on food and grocery orders, and exclusive discounts across Careem services. This benefit is available across all Elevate tiers: Prime, Plus, and Privilege.
- I am not a Careem Plus member, how do I activate my free Careem Plus membership?
To activate your Careem Plus membership:
- Open the Careem app on your phone
- Tap your profile icon in the top right corner
- Select “Careem+” and tap “See the benefits”
- Go to “Offers” and select the RAKBANK offer
- Add your Elevate or World Credit Card to the Careem app
Your membership will activate automatically once your Elevate or World credit card is verified.
- I am already a Careem Plus member, how do I switch to the RAKBANK offer and activate it?
Follow these steps to switch to the RAKBANK offer:
1. Open the Careem app on your phone
2. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner
3. Tap on either the green profile banner on the top of the screen, or scroll down to ‘Benefits’ and tap on the ‘Careem Plus’ heading
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap on ‘Manage membership’
5. Tap on ‘Cancel Subscription’
6. Depending on your subscription, your subscription will either expire immediately, or it will start displaying an expiry date. In case of the latter, reach out to the Careem customer support team and they will cancel the subscription on your behalf.
7. Once the subscription is cancelled, follow the steps given in FAQ#2 to get your free trial membership.
- Is the Careem Plus benefit available on all Elevate tiers?
Yes. The complimentary 12-month Careem Plus free trial membership is available to all Elevate primary cardholders – Prime, Plus, and Privilege.
- Is this benefit available to supplementary cardholders?
No. The Careem Plus membership is available to primary cardholders only.
- Do I need to use my Elevate or World card to get Careem Plus benefits?
Yes. To receive Careem Plus benefits such as ride discounts and free delivery, you must use your Elevate or World Credit Card as the payment method for each transaction in the Careem app. If you pay with a different card or payment method, the Careem Plus benefits will not apply to that transaction.
- What happens if I remove my Elevate or World card from the Careem app?
Your Careem Plus membership will remain active, but you will not be able to enjoy any Careem Plus benefits (e.g., ride discounts, free delivery) unless you pay with an eligible RAKBANK card. You can re-add your Elevate or World card at any time to start receiving benefits again.
- What happens after the 12-month free period ends?
After the complimentary 12-month period, the Careem Plus membership will automatically renew at Careem’s standard subscription rate unless you cancel it. You can manage your subscription directly in the Careem app.
- When does the Careem Plus benefit become available after card issuance?
The benefit can be activated once the Elevate or World Credit Card is active and successfully added to the Careem app.
- Is the benefit available for new-to-bank and existing cardholders?
Yes. The complimentary Careem Plus membership is available to both new and existing eligible Elevate and World primary cardholders.
- If I hold both an Elevate and a World card, do I get two memberships?
No. Only one Careem Plus membership per eligible customer is allowed, regardless of the number of eligible RAKBANK credit cards held.
- What happens if the card is cancelled, blocked, or downgraded, replaced or renewed?
If your card has been cancelled or blocked and you aren’t getting a replacement, your subscription will continue but the benefits will not apply. In this case it is recommended to cancel your membership.
If your renewed or replaced card has an eligible BIN number, your benefits will continue to apply. Your subscription will continue until the end of the original period.
In case of a downgrade with a different BIN number, the subscription will continue but the benefits will not be applied.
- Are all Careem services included?
All Careem Plus eligible services / benefits are included.
- Can Careem Plus benefits be combined with other Careem promotions or promo codes?
Yes, any additional promotions can be combined with the Careem Plus benefits.
- I followed the steps, but my Careem Plus didn’t activate. What should I do?
In case you have a card with an eligible BIN but the subscription did not activate, please reach out to the Careem support team.
- Will I be reminded before the 12-month free trial period ends?
While you will not receive an explicit reminder, you can always check the status of your subscription on the Careem app.
- Can I cancel auto–renewal during the free period?
Yes, you can. The benefits will continue to apply till the end of the initial subscription period.
- Can the benefit be transferred to another Careem account or phone number?
No, the benefits cannot be transferred.
