Terms and Conditions – Careem Pay Diwali Gold Promotion

Promotion Overview

The Careem Pay Diwali Gold Promotion (“Send money and get a gift of gold”) offers eligible customers a Tanishq voucher code of value AED 320, which is equivalent to the value of a 1g, 24-carat gold based on the spot gold rate on 10/10/2024. This voucher can be redeemed at Tanishq stores for the purchase of gold or any other jewellery item.

By participating in this Promotion, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

• The Promotion is available to first-time users of Careem Pay’s remittance service who send a minimum of AED 50,000 or more to India between 20th – 31st October 2024.
• Customers can reach the AED 50,000 threshold through one or multiple transactions during the campaign period, as long as it is their first time sending money via Careem Pay between the campaign period.
• This offer is limited to one voucher per customer, regardless of the number of transactions or the total amount sent. For example, even if a customer sends AED 100,000 or more, they will only receive one voucher. Multiple or higher-value remittance transactions during the campaign period do not qualify for additional vouchers.
• This Promotion is only valid for remittances sent to India. Transactions made to any other country are not eligible for the Promotion.

2. Voucher Code Details

• Eligible customers will receive a voucher code equivalent to the value of a 1g, 24-carat gold based on the gold spot rate on 10/10/2024.
• The exact value of the voucher is AED 320. This is determined by the spot price of 24k carat 1gm gold on 10/10/2024 which is AED 318.25, and the voucher reflects this amount in AED.
• Voucher codes will be issued to eligible customers via email/SMS within 6 working days from their date of eligible transfer to India.
• The voucher code can be redeemed at our gifting partner Tanishq Middle East’s retail stores within the UAE for a flat discount of AED 320 on their next purchase of gold coin or any other jewellery item.
• Careem Pay is not responsible to cover for the price difference of 1gm gold between 10/10/2024 and the date of purchase
• The voucher code cannot be exchanged for cash and is non-transferable.
• A limited number of vouchers are available for this Promotion. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Redemption Process

• To redeem the voucher, customers must present the voucher code at Tanishq Middle East stores within the UAE
• Customer may be asked to show the email/sms communication from Careem Pay on which the voucher code was received for verification purpose
• The redemption is subject to Tanishq Middle East’s terms and conditions, and availability of gold or jewellery items may vary based on the store’s inventory.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring that the voucher is redeemed within the validity period. Voucher codes will expire 90 days after issuance and cannot be redeemed thereafter.
• Careem Pay is not responsible for any issues or delays related to the redemption process at Tanishq Middle East stores.
• The voucher code is issued on a one-time-use basis and cannot be reused or duplicated.
• Customers are solely responsible for safeguarding the voucher code. Careem Pay will not be liable for any misuse of the code by unintended recipients due to sharing or leakage once the voucher is issued.

4. Limited Availability & Campaign Duration

• The Promotion is limited to 600 number of vouchers. Once this limit is reached, no further vouchers will be issued.
• The Promotion is valid from 20th October 2024 to 31st October 2024, after which no further entries will be accepted.

Careem reserves the right to modify or end the Promotion at any time without prior notice. In the event of any changes, Careem will make reasonable efforts to notify customers, but is not obligated to do so.

5. Exclusions

• Transactions that are reversed, cancelled, or refunded are not eligible for this Promotion.
• The Promotion is not valid for any transfers made before or after the campaign period.
• Transfers to any country other than India are excluded from the Promotion.
• Employees, contractors, or agents of Careem and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

6. Disclaimers

• Careem Pay makes no representations or warranties regarding the gold value at the date of redemption or the redemption process at Tanishq Middle East stores.
• The Promotion is subject to local laws and regulations, and Careem Pay reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms or attempts to misuse the Promotion.
• Careem Pay will not be held responsible for any delays, errors, or disputes regarding the issuance or redemption of the voucher codes, including but not limited to, issues related to third-party systems or suppliers.

Careem Pay reserves the right to withhold or cancel the issuance of vouchers if it suspects fraudulent activity or any breach of these terms.

7. General Terms

• The voucher code is issued on a one-time-use basis and cannot be reused or duplicated.
• Careem Pay reserves the right to request identification or additional information from customers for verification purposes prior to issuing the voucher code.
• These Terms and Conditions may be updated or amended by Careem Pay at any time without prior notice.

Any disputes arising from this Promotion will be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai will apply.
